Water

Analysis of water by taking the following three qualities into consideration (see also pathogens and contaminants): Microbiological – bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and worms. Chemical – minerals, metals and chemicals. Physical – temperature, colour, smell, taste and turbidity.

Potable water used in construction should be free from high level quantities of alkalis, acid, oils, salt, sugar, organic materials, vegetable growth and other substances. Potable water is good for mixing and curing concrete.

Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from household sewage. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove these contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated wastewater.

They are based on the absence / presence of certain microorganisms or quantitative limits of these or other microorganisms, per unit(s) of mass, volume, area or lot.
